Student Health Insurance
All Ohio State students enrolled at least half-time are required to have health insurance and may enroll in or waive student health insurance coverage at the beginning of academic terms through their Buckeye Link accounts. The comprehensive student health insurance offers worldwide coverage, including vision and dental, and allows significant others and children to be claimed. (International students are required to enroll in this coverage plan.)
Working in partnership with the Wilce Student Health Center, no copays are applied to services at the on-campus health center through student health insurance coverage. Students also may opt to enroll in the WilceCare Supplement while continuing their enrollment with an outside insurer. The supplement allows for prepaid medical care exclusively at the Student Health Center. Student health insurance rates vary depending on the number of claimed dependents and term enrolled. Amounts appear on a student’s statement of account via Buckeye Link.
