Although law degrees seem to run in the family, Joshua Barkan ’12 is forging his own path when it comes to his law career. As a third-generation lawyer, Barkan is also making a splash in the philanthropic world as a young professional in the Columbus community.

On March 18, Professor Richard Daley’s classroom received a surprise visit from the university provost, who stopped the class to announce Daley is the winner of the Provost’s Award for Distinguished Teaching By A Lecturer. Daley, a senior lecturer in law, joined the Moritz faculty after practicing real estate law for 28 years.
