Supreme Court Litigator Carter Phillips Visiting

Carter G. Phillips, a partner at Sidley Austin LLP in Washington, D.C., and graduate of The Ohio State University, will speak on his Supreme Court practice at the Barrister Club on Thursday, Oct. 8, at noon. Phillips has argued over 80 cases before the Supreme Court, more than any other lawyer in private practice, and served as a clerk for former Chief Justice Warren E. Burger. Considered one of the country’s most renowned litigators, Phillips has also argued more than 100 cases in United States courts of appeals, including at least one in every circuit in the country, and more than 25 in the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He previously served assistant to the solicitor general of the United States. Click here to register.
