Ohio AG sponsors new trial competition
Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine is sponsoring a Mock Trial Competition open to second- and third-year students at Ohio law schools.
The competition will take place Nov. 2-3 at the Franklin County Courthouse. All teams are guaranteed two trials on Saturday, with the two highest-scoring teams advancing to a third trial on Sunday. Practicing attorneys from the AG’s office will coach participants, and experienced litigators and judges will judge the competition.
“The competition will give law students the chance to gain valuable advice and inspiration from practicing public-sector lawyers. They also will be able to network with prospective employers, whom I expect will use the competition to identify future all-star litigators they want to hire,” DeWine said.
2Ls and 3Ls who are interested in representing Moritz in this competition should contact Moot Court Program Coordinator Elizabeth Sherowski at firstname.lastname@example.org.
