Federal Court Enjoins Georgia Voter ID Law
The United States District Court for the District of Georgia has issued a preliminary injunction against a Georgia state law, requiring voters to show government-issued photo ID in order to exercise the right to vote. The 123-page preliminary injunction order may be found here. The Court's order finds that there's a substantial likelihood that the ID law violates the right to vote under the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
