Free screening of Valentine Road
The Moritz College of Law student group OutLaws is hosting a free screening of the HBO documentary Valentine Road on Oct. 2 at the Wexner Center for the Arts. RSVPs are needed by Thursday, Sept. 26.
The documentary revisits the 2008 murder of a teenager who had been exploring his gender identity and the circumstances that led to a school shooting by a fellow student. The film raises issues about the safety of LGBT teens, juvenile justice, and the efficacy of the countries educational and social service systems.
A reception will take place at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 2, followed by the screening at 6:30 p.m. A panel discussion is also part of the evening’s program.
Seating is limited. RSVP by clicking here.
