The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law’s Program on Law and Leadership is proud to present its 5th Annual Speaker Series, featuring a keynote address by Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval ’89 on March 15.
Sandoval is among a series of distinguished speakers hosted by the College’s Program on Law and Leadership. His address will cover leadership lessons he has learned throughout an illustrious political career.
A former legislator and attorney general of Nevada, Sandoval also served as a member and chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commission, responsible for overseeing the state’s lucrative gaming industry. At age 35, he was the youngest person to ever serve as Nevada’s chief gaming regulator.
In October 2005, Sandoval became the state’s first Latino federal judge with an appointment to U.S. District Judge for the District of Nevada by President George W. Bush. Sandoval voluntarily gave up the lifetime appointment to the bench to serve his state as its governor. He was elected in November 2010.
Sandoval’s speech begins at 12:10 p.m. in the William B. Saxbe Law Auditorium, and registration is required. Lunch will be served to those attending.
