Career Services has launched a new initiative, Moritz Short-term Assistance Registry (STAR). STAR is designed to provide private sector employers a pool of qualified and pre-approved second- and third-year students and graduates from the class of 2010 to hire for assistance with short-term projects.The intent of the program is to provide employers with short-term assistance with no obligation to hire on a continued basis and to give students interested in firm or corporate counsel work an opportunity to gain some experience in the practice. Such projects could include:
All participating students are well qualified to meet employer needs. However, employers may indicate on the application form whether they prefer to pick a candidate or to be assigned a student based on their stated area of interest and availability for the assignment.
