| Justice Ginsburg Highlights Symposium Season |
The Ohio State Law Journal is proud to announce that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is expected to visit Moritz April 10 for the journal’s 2009 symposium, “The Jurisprudence of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg: A Discussion of Fifteen Years on the U.S. Supreme Court.” As a litigator, Ruth Bader Ginsburg was known as a pioneer of women's rights, “the Thurgood Marshall of gender equality law,” according to President Clinton, who nominated her to the Court.
The symposium, which will feature a number of the country's foremost legal scholars, will consider Justice Ginsburg's impact on various substantive areas of law and American jurisprudence, more generally. Topics to be discussed will include constitutional law, civil and criminal procedure, statutory interpretation, and labor and employment law. To register and read more, visit this link.

Students, Employers Continue to Expand Annual Forum |
More than 200 Moritz students attended the 10th annual Public Interest and Government Opportunity Forum, which was held in February at the Barrister Club. The forum was started in 2000 as a way to expose students to the variety of options in the public interest sector. In its first year, the forum welcomed 18 employers to Drinko Hall, where they collected resumes and discussed careers in an informal setting. This year, 34 employers attended the two-day event. Sixteen employers conducted formal, scheduled interviews and the others welcomed resumes and discussions with students.
The growing event was well received by students and employers. “I have had great success at the Opportunity Forums over the past two years,” said Becky Guzman ’01, who attended the forum on behalf of the Franklin County Public Defender’s office. “Not only do I meet capable and accomplished law students, but I am thrilled to be able to offer a job to people who are truly interested in helping the indigent.”

| Student Profile: 2L Bitzenhofer Sketched Meeks’ Portrait for Library |
For the past few months amongst the rows of prestigious oil paintings hanging in the library of deans past and current, hung the caricature that 2L Bob Bitzenhofer rendered of Professor Emeritus James Meeks. “He has a good face to draw a cartoon for,” Bitzenhofer said.
It all started during Bitzenhofer’s first semester at Moritz when he got together with his study group in one of the library study rooms. During a break from studying, he took advantage of the white board and markers that were provided and drew a cartoon of another one of his professors. “It became a thing I did for a couple of my professors,” he said.
