Moritz Tailgates Kickoff in Just a Few Weeks |
Tailgate time is here again! Come back to the Moritz College of Law to celebrate the football season in style. We'll offer a gourmet brunch, a shuttle to Ohio Stadium, and the chance to meet old friends and make new ones.
Join us on game day at the Barrister Club, located at 25 West 11th Avenue, across the street and south of Drinko Hall. Stop in any time 2.5 hours before kickoff for a great buffet. Park conveniently in the Gateway Garage, located one block off High Street between East 9th and 11th Avenues. The cost to park for the day is $20.
The shuttle stops across from the Club's front door approximately every 20 minutes before kickoff, and returns to the same place after the game.
The cost for the tailgates is $15 per person, with kids 17 & under free. Space is limited and registration is first come, first served.

Rich Terapak ’71: Lawyer by Day, Food Connoisseur by Night |
Looking for a good restaurant in Central Ohio? Rich Terapak ’71 is the man to consult.
The 62-year-old married father of two is a true food connoisseur and can rattle off a list of good eats around Columbus for any occasion. And on the first Friday of each month, listeners tune in for Terapak’s hour-long segment “Soundbites” on WOSU as he shares his take on the many dining experiences that he has throughout the city.
But this is only a side gig. Terapak’s day job is as a partner in Porter Wright Morris & Arthur’s Columbus office and chair of the firm’s Health Care Practice Group. (Read More)

Prof. Swire Joins Obama Administration |
Peter Swire, the C. William O'Neill Professor in Law and Judicial Administration at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, has taken a leave to serve in the White House under President Obama. He has been appointed as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy. This position is in the National Economic Council (NEC), led by Lawrence Summers. Among other matters, Professor Swire will be working on housing and housing finance issues.
The NEC was established in 1993 to advise the President on U.S. and global economic policy. It resides within the Office of Policy Development and is part of the Executive Office of the President. (Read More)

Looking back, Cheryl Blackwell Bryson ’77 understands why others use the words “miracle” and “success story against the odds” in describing her. It’s no wonder: the Duane Morris partner has surmounted a slew of personal and professional obstacles throughout her career.
Bryson, whose on-line professional biography includes first African-American female editor of the Ohio State Law Journal, 2006 Illinois Super Lawyer, Top 50 Women Lawyers in Illinois, Top 50 Leading Women Business Lawyers in Illinois and YWCA Outstanding Woman of Achievement, began her legal career when there were few African-American female attorneys.
