Changes in the Moritz Office of Alumni Relations
As the new year starts, the Office of Alumni Relations at Moritz has undergone some reorganizing and restructuring. Former Director Laura Landy Carr, with her high energy and keen organization skills, is moving to the College's graduate and international programs to assist with the ever increasing workload involved with the new LL.M. and Oxford University programs.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Moritz alumni over the past six years. I have always been impressed by their willingness to help whenever they are asked. I'm proud to know them and count many of them as good friends," Laura said. "I'm really fortunate to have the opportunity to continue serving the College on the student side, working part-time in support of the graduate and international programs, which gives me more time to be with my son, Bryan."
The new alumni relations team consists of Jeff Hilperts, director of the office, Darnell Hines, Carlita Pitts, Angela Henderson, Cori Tarzwell, Robika Sturdivant, and Assistant Dean Monte Smith. Jeff, Darnell and Carlita will manage alumni events, reunions, and awards while Dean Smith, Angela, and Robika will focus on events designed for our budding alumni, including Hooding, the Mentoring and More @ Moritz program, and lectures and events held in the law school.
