Service above self is one of the qualities used to identify and select the winner of the college's Community Service Award. Duane Isham's career not only exemplifies this quality, but so did his acceptance speech. He accepted the award, presented by 1953 classmate Frank Bazler (left) not just for his own efforts, but for the untold hours of volunteer service given by fellow alumni to their communities. | The Fantastic Four: Moritz Grads Serve Ohioans as Legislators |

The legislators in the Ohio General Assembly come from many backgrounds.
Four in particular have something special in common: they are graduates
of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. The four — State
Rep. William Batchelder '67, State Rep. Anthony Core '90, State Sen.
Keith Faber '91 and State Rep. Mark Wagoner '97 — are a diverse group.
Some have retired; some still practice law. One is a former judge,
who happens to be married to a sitting federal appellate court judge.
What unites them all is a shared commitment to serve the citizens

| Charles Ho '01: An American Lawyer in Hong Kong |
If
you ever find yourself in Hong Kong or Mainland China, be sure to
look up 2001 Moritz law grad Charles Ho. He’ll likely take you
for dinner to restaurants that will remind you of home, such as Ruby
Tuesday’s (“they’re always full”) or Pizza
Hut, where, according to Charles, business is so brisk that it’s
wise to make reservations, especially on the weekends. Though Charles’
new home is Hong Kong, his time spent and education earned in the
U.S. still inform his life in the East. (Read

| April Alli '06: Using Her Law Degree to Bring Products to Market |
April Alli '06 brings "the best to you each morning" in her work as an associate brand manager for Kellogg's. April always intended to pursue a master's degree in business, but opted to attend law school as well under the joint JD/MBA program at Ohio State. She notes, "There are skills you learn in law school that you can't learn anywhere else." She finds them invaluable as she works to promote some of Kellogg's newest product lines. (Read More) |
