| Loan Repayment Program Offers $4000 to Those Working in Public Service |

Nancy H. Rogers and the Loan Repayment Assistance Council, headed
by Professor Arthur
F. Greenbaum (pictured at left), are proud to announce the Moritz
Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP) Pilot Program. The program
is designed to help reduce the financial barriers that sometimes prevent
Moritz graduates from accepting positions with government or legal
services employers - employers whose needs for quality legal professionals

| William B. Leahy '68: A Helping Hand for Katrina Victims |

Leahy takes to heart the old adage "when the going gets tough, the
tough get going." When the veteran Cleveland trial lawyer heard of
a program providing free legal assistance for victims of Hurricane
Katrina, he volunteered to help wherever he was most needed. In early
December, Bill journeyed to the Mississippi coast where he provided
desperately needed help to one of the storm's hardest-hit communities.

| For Kenneth Kies '77, Taxes – and Success – Are Certain |
Taxes
– for many people, this word can send shivers down the spine.
Not so for Ken Kies '77. For almost 30 years, Ken's stock-in-trade
has been that inevitable slice-of-life and he would not have it any
other way. "I think tax lawyers are perhaps the most capable in the
legal profession," he said. "We deal with complex issues that, at
the highest levels, effect the whole country. It makes it fun to do.
