| Brian Sandoval '89: Nevada's First Hispanic U.S. District Judge |
Growing up in rural Sparks, Nevada, tending cows, chickens and sheep, Brian Sandoval had ambitions of a career in veterinary medicine. His brother, however, saw visions of courtrooms, briefs and depositions. As fate would have it, their destinies were swapped. Sandoval's brother became the veterinarian in the family and, well as they say, the rest is history. (Learn More) |
| Jim Oliphant '92: Rubbing Elbows with the Powerful in Washington, D.C. |
Jim Oliphant's career path always has been aimed at Washington D.C., where the powerful make the decisions that effect our lives on a daily basis. But Jim's is not the typical "hometown boy makes good" story. While he is among the power brokers, he doesn't count himself among them-and he couldn't be happier.

The best way to learn is usually by doing. It's the basic principle behind the criminal prosecution and criminal defense practica, and many of the other learning opportunities with which Clinical Professor Robert Krivoshey is involved. | U.S. Supreme Court Admission to the Bar: You're Invited |
Join fellow Moritz Law alumni for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. On June 12, the College will host a group of alumni as they are admitted in open court to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court. Alumni will be treated to a reception the night before at the historic Hotel Washington. Deadline for applying for the trip is April 24, 2006. (Learn
