| Ray Persons '78: Proving "If You Can Dream it, You Can Live it" |
Ray
Persons dreamed of becoming a lawyer. For someone from a neighborhood
where no one had ever gone to college, it was a big dream. Today this
inductee into the International Society of Barristers honorary society
and fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers is widely considered
one of the best trial lawyers in the Southeast. He is living his dream
and making sure the door of opportunity remains open so future Moritz
students can pursue theirs. (learn

When
Daniel Conkle took his first teaching job in 1983, he was happy for
the chance to teach a course he was interested in - civil procedure.
What the 1979 Ohio State University law school graduate did not know
was that the second course he would agree to teach that year would
be the one that would set the course of his academic career. (learn

| Journal on Dispute Resolution Offers ADR/Ethics CLE January 20 |

alumni can earn 90 minutes of ethics, 120 minutes of professionalism,
and 90 minutes of general CLE credit when the Journal on Dispute
Resolution brings jurists, scholars and practitioners to campus
on January 20 to discuss "The Collision of Two Ideals: Legal Ethics
and the World of Alternative Dispute Resolution." (learn

| Larry Adelman '70: Turning Trash into Treasure on Six Continents |
As
the saying goes, one man's trash is another's treasure.
Few things ring truer for Larry Adelman '70, co-owner of Canton,
Ohio-based Adelman's Truck Parts Corp. Joining the small family-owned
business in 1976, Larry has transformed a small truck salvage yard
into one of the world's largest exporters of truck parts. (learn
