| Science Coalition Honors Congressman David L. Hobson '63 |
Ohio 7th District Congressman and Moritz alumnus David L. Hobson '63
was honored with the Champion of Science Award at a Washington, DC
ceremony co-hosted by OSU President Karen Holbrook in July. The recognition
comes from the Science Coalition, an alliance of more than 400 organizations,
institutions and individuals who developed the award to recognize
legislators who have demonstrated strong support for federal funding

| A New Place for Reunions and Free Alumni Tailgates: Moritz Law's Barrister Club |
The
construction is finally complete! The Barrister Club will open its
doors to alumni, students, and friends for a series of five free tailgate
parties this fall. Alumni from the classes of 1955, 1980 and 1995
will have their reunion celebrations the weekend of our first tailgate:

| Mike Briley '69 to be Honored August 19 With Community Service Award |
The
angel carving atop Mike Briley's mantle is the gift of a boy who learned
to whittle from his adoptive uncle. Arriving nearly a year after the
adoption handled by Mike, the enclosed note said simply, "You are
my angel." It serves as silent testimony to the lives Mike has changed
through his pro bono practice. Mike will be honored with the Moritz
College of Law's Community Service Award at the new student orientation
reception on Friday, August 19 in the College's new Barrister Club.
