| Hon. William T. Bodoh '64 Trades Federal Bench for Moritz Lectern |
The portrait unveiling and retirement celebration for the Honorable William
T. Bodoh, chief bankruptcy judge of the Northern District of Ohio on December
17 marked the ending of one career and the launch of another. Luminaries from the federal and state bench, a U.S. Senator, practitioners, former clerks, family and friends from across the nation celebrated his 18-year judicial career and congratulated him on his newest venture — lecturer at Moritz beginning spring semester. Gilbert Reese Chair in Contract Law he recently established at Moritz, Gib oversees two foundations, funded a DePauw University Residence Hall, and was a driving force in the creation of both a bicycle trail network in Licking County and OSU's $13.2-million technology center at the Newark campus. Energetic and in his prime, Gib recently reflected on his personal history and its relationship to his philosophy about giving. (Learn more) |
| Professor Dale Oesterle: Life is in the Fast Lane |
Professor Dale Oesterle likes to get where he is going--fast. Yet, whether he is discussing his education (three degrees in seven years), his professional achievements (author of several books and more than 40 articles), or his hobbies (a racecar builder and driver), a picture emerges of a soft-spoken man with a brilliant mind and boundless energy. His extensive expertise and teaching experience in corporate law, both in the U.S. and abroad, have brought him to Ohio State as the holder of the J. Gilbert Reese Chair in Contract Law.
