Dan Sandman '73: Doing Something Great for Ohio State
Dan Sandman '73 has held many titles and many positions in
his professional career, but few are as important to him as
"alumnus." After earning a B.A., Phi Beta Kappa,
and a J.D. from The Ohio State University, Dan's career path
took him cross-country and across the Atlantic. The physical
separation from the University did not stop him from staying
connected and ultimately serving as Chair of the OSU Alumni
Association Board of Directors. (Learn

Professor Samansky to Direct New Degree Program
Former Associate Dean Allan Samansky, the Robert Watkins/Procter
and Gamble Designated Professor of Law, will serve as the

Law (M.S.L.) degree program recently approved by The Ohio
State University Trustees. The degree, an alternative to the
three-year, full-time program leading to a Juris Doctor degree,
will be offered beginning in Fall 2004, subject to approval
by the American Bar Association's Section of Legal Education
and the Ohio Board of Regents. Both approvals are anticipated
in early 2004. (Learn

Professor Ellen Deason Expands ADR's International Focus at Moritz
As the eldest of five girls raised on Long Island, New York,
Professor
Ellen Deason is well-versed in the need for effective
dispute resolution techniques. While guiding her sisters through
the domestic travails of childhood, she didn't realize she
would one day be working in the international arena of comparative
