Voter eligibility, campaign
practices, redistricting, and gerrymandering -- those
are just a few of the topics covered by Election Law @ Moritz,
a comprehensive election law project at Ohio State's
Moritz College of Law. Directed by Professor Edward
B. (Ned) Foley, the project has the dual purpose of educating the
public on legal issues surrounding elections and assisting
the media in covering election law issues with accuracy.

| Marty Glick '64: Getting it Right from Mississippi to California |
It took ten years from the day Marty Glick '64 was
shown El Cortito, the short-handled hoe used by migrant farmworkers,
until his efforts and those of his colleagues resulted in
its being banned from use in California. For many, seeing
farmworker back injuries drop by 34 percent might have been
a crowning achievement. For Marty, it was one of many victories
in a career dedicated to equal justice for all. (learn

| Vence L. Bonham Jr. '82: An Ethical Voice in the Role of Race in Genomics |
The good news is that the successful completion of the human
genome project in 2003 ushered in a scientific revolution
that is transforming the study of virtually all life processes.
The bad news is that the resulting medical and commercial
breakthroughs may outpace protections against misuses such
as genetic discrimination. Vence L. Bonham, Jr. '82
is playing a critical role in developing recommendations
for professional standards, laws, and institutional policies
on the ethical use and application of genomic research. (learn

| Bob Kiss '82: West Virginia's Mr. Speaker |
When Bob Kiss '82, left with family, became Speaker
of West Virginia's House of Delegates in 1997, he was
the youngest speaker of the house in the country at the time.
It was an impressive achievement for someone who fell into
