| Thomas Montgomery '80: Congressional Liaison for U.S. Exports Worldwide |
Thomas
Montgomery '80 has a disease. He is not ashamed of it. He
accepts it and readily discusses it. "Potomac Fever,"
he says, is a common affliction and one he has embraced throughout
his 20-plus year career. After a variety of positions in both
Ohio and Washington D.C., the most recent strain of the fever
has Tom back inside the beltway again, now serving as the
senior vice president of congressional affairs for the Export-Import

at Harvard and the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, taught

| An Advocate without Borders: Sal Cicero '98 |
A man who has lived on both sides of the Rio Grande, Sal
Cicero (right with Mexican President Vicente Fox) knows firsthand
what it's like to be a stranger in a strange land. His
parents' activism planted the seeds for his life's
work: protecting the rights of immigrants in both the U.S.
and in Mexico. Whether working for the Mexican Consulate in
Chicago, or at his current post in the Mexican government,
his passion for helping others has definitely not been lost
in translation. (learn
