Robert "Bob" Lynn's "Very Lucky Life"
It is fitting that one of Professor Emeritus Bob Lynn's
'48 specialties was perpetuity. In his 38 years of teaching
at the Michael E. Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University,

Alumni Recognition Wall Unveiled
An alumni recognition wall was unveiled at the conclusion of
the National Alumni Council meeting on November 14. In addition
to honoring alumni for service, career achievement, and generosity
to the school, Dean Rogers hopes the wall "will inspire
current students with stories of people who have gone before
them." (learn more) |
Linda Ammons '87: A Study in Unwavering Faith in the Nobility of the Law
Growing up in Cleveland, Linda Ammons '87 was shaped by

era. Against the backdrop of Martin Luther King Jr.'s
assassination and the Glenville riots, Linda grew up in a household
where conversation centered on the power of the courts and the
rule of law. "My mother should have been the lawyer,"
recalls Linda. "I was taught that the law could be noble,
that lawyers were the champions of freedom." (learn

Brian Shinn '96: Dignity's Defender
When Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman needed a new liaison to
the community, he wisely appointed Brian Shinn '96 to
the Community Relations Commission. Be it personal, political,
or professional, Brian had demonstrated the ability to promote
tolerance and understanding. His ability to solve community
problems in ways that protect everyone's dignity make him a
perfect fit for this important post. (learn

Save March 4 for the PILF Auction
Public Interest Law Foundation student leaders (left) remind
you to save the date of March 4, 2004 for the annual PILF Auction.
Created in 1992, PILF is a non-partisan, nonprofit Moritz law
organization committed to reducing the financial barriers to
working in public interest law by offering fellowships to law
students who wish to work in the public sector during the summer
and by working with the Office of Professional Development (formerly
Placement) to educate students about the rewards of pursuing
