Robert K. Barton Memorial Scholarship
The Robert K. Barton Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in 1968 by golf legend Jack Nicklaus. It was established in memory of his good friend and Ohio State alumnus Robert K. Barton ’62, one of central Ohio’s top amateur golfers. Barton died in a plane crash en route to see Nicklaus play in the 1966 Masters.
Over the years, the scholarship has helped 240 students fund their legal education and is a valuable resource for students who otherwise may not have been able to attend the Moritz College of Law. This scholarship fund has been successful for the past 45 years thanks to generous alumni and friends who have chosen to invest in our students.
