8 ways you can be involved and stay connected
1. Be a mentor.
Mentoring and More @ Moritz, supported by the Baker Hostetler Endowment for Professional Development, serves as a bridge between the theory and the practice of law. Students learn by example from mentors who care deeply about improving law and its administration, have high expectations for themselves and their colleagues in the profession, and are willing to help guide those who follow them into the profession. The next round of mentoring matches will be in August 2014. Contact Angela Henderson at email@example.com for more information.
Upcoming moot court volunteer opportunities are at the Moritz Representation in Mediation Competition on January 27-30 and at the Herman Moot Court Competition on February 3-27. For more information, or to volunteer, contact Elizabeth Sherowski at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Moritz social calendar is always a full one – tailgates, reunions, symposiums, PILF Auction, lectures and more. Come back and visit with other alumni, meet our current students, and walk around Drinko Hall!
It’s never been so easy to offer insights about life after law school and what it takes to find a fulfilling career. Alumni answers to our “After the Bar” questions are included in a weekly newsletter for students.
Contact our career services department to connect with a student who is interested in what you do, or to provide job leads. Our students are always looking to talk to alumni in different legal markets and in specific practice areas.
Alumni from the Moritz College of Law can be found coast to coast (and even internationally). This interactive map is a great tool for students who dream to practice law in a variety of locations, and a nice way for alumni to find fellow alumni in their area. Submit your information today.
Update your contact information here so that we are able to keep in touch, share a story about yourself or other alumni to appear on our website, in SideBar, our monthly newsletter, or in All Rise, the alumni print magazine, and submit a classnote to share your news and keep your classmates updated!
