Moot court needs alumni help

The Moot Court & Lawyering Skills Program at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law is seeking volunteer judges for the annual Appellate Advocacy oral arguments, to be held in the evenings Nov. 26 through Dec. 4.

This year, students will be arguing one of two cases: Florida v. Jardines, 73 So. 3d 34 (Fla. 2011), or Florida v. Harris, 71 So. 3d 756 (Fla. 2011). Both cases involve the propriety of using drug-sniffing dogs to establish probable cause to conduct a search and the constitutional implications of such conduct by police in light of the Fourth Amendment’s prohibition against unreasonable searches and seizures.

If you are willing to participate as a judge on one or more of the evenings noted above, please email Emily Farinacci at for further information. We appreciate your interest in volunteering!
