Kathy Ransier '74 Honored as YWCA Woman of Achievement

Kathy is an attorney at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease, where she practices in the corporate group. Formerly, she was Managing Partner of the law firm, Ransier & Ransier, LLP.
Kathy served as past president of the Franklin County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. Her current board service includes Huntington Bancshares Incorporated, Columbus Regional Airport Authority, The Women's Fund of Central Ohio, and the Capitol South Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation. She was instrumental in establishing Creative Housing, an organization that provides housing for individuals with developmental disabilities.
When involved in an organization, Kathy's leadership contributes to better services, increased public awareness and stable funding. In recognition of her work to benefit others, Kathy received the 2002 Community Service Award from the Moritz College of Law. She also has received the Constance Baker Motley Award from the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, and the Community Service Award from the Columbus Bar Association.
