U.S. Supreme Court Admission to the Bar: You're Invited
June 12, 2006 | Washington, D.C.
Take part in this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thirty Ohio State Moritz College of Law alumni will have the opportunity to be admitted to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court.
Join us Sunday evening, June 11, for a cocktail reception at the historic Hotel Washington. Details will follow in confirmation packet. The ceremony will take place the morning of Monday, June 12. The exact time at which our group will be sworn in will announced by the United States Supreme Court six weeks prior to the event. Our group will assemble at the courthouse by no later than 8:45 a.m. If you are later than 8:45, you may not be permitted inside the building. Each participant may bring one guest. This is a strict policy and there are no exceptions. A photographer will be available to record your participation in this special event.
There is a block of 18 rooms available for a rate of $190/night at the Hotel Washington. These rooms are reserved under the "Ohio State University College of Law;" you must mention this to receive the special rate. These rooms are first come, first served. Please note that there is a city-wide convention in town that weekend, so hotel availability is very limited. Be sure to make your reservations early.
To participate in this event, simply click on the links provided and fill out the necessary paperwork. The cost to apply is $100.
