The Admissions Office is located just off of the first floor lobby of Drinko Hall, home of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. The office is open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday during the academic year and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the summer (May through August). We are closed on University holidays.

Professor Northern served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert M. Duncan, Southern District of Ohio, following graduation from law school, and then became an associate with the law firm of Porter, Wright, Morris, & Arthur in Columbus.
In 1990, she joined the law faculty of Ohio Northern University, moving to Ohio State in 1991. She served as chair of the Ohio Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism and was a member of the Civil Justice Reform Act Advisory Group for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
Her research areas include the use of tort law in social policy formation, the application of traditional tort principles to mitigate the effects of environmental racism, and products liability.
She teaches Advanced Topics in Tort Law, Environmental Justice, Law & Technology, and Torts.

During law school, Dean Solomon received Moot Court and Order of the Barrister Honors, and he served on the Moot court Governing Board, the Student Bar Association, and the Black Law Student Association (first as Vice President and then as President). He was also the recipient of the Earl Warren Legal Training Scholarship. He began his legal career as an Assistant Attorney General of Ohio, practicing law in the Federal Litigation and Workers' Compensation Sections. At age 30, he became the Assistant Chief and then the Action Chief of the Children Protection Section, under Ohio Attorney General Lee Fisher.
In 1994, Dean Solomon was appointed to the Franklin County Municipal Court bench as a Referee/Magistrate, where he heard traffic, housing, and general civil cases. In 1995, he returned to academics, first as the Assistant to the Dean of the College and as an adjunct professor. In 1996, he was promoted to the position Assistant Dean for Admissions and Financial Aid, and in 1997, his duties were expanded to include serving as the Director of the Moot Court & Lawyering Skills Program. He served on the OSBA Commissions on the Education of Lawyers, the Ohio Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism, and as Vice President of the local chapter of the National Bar Association.
He is a graduate of the United Way Project Diversity Program and has served on the boards of many nonprofit organizations, including the Ohio ACLU Foundation. In 1999, Dean Solomon joined the US Department of Justice, serving as an Assistant United States Attorney, focusing on Labor/Employment and Tort Litigation.
In 2001, Dean Solomon returned to the College of Law and was named Director of the newly created Office of Minority Affairs, along with his duties in Admission and Financial Aid. He continues being active in the Bar and Community, chairing committees with the Columbus Bar Association and serving as First Vice President of the local Chapter of 100 Black Men of America and as President of the local National Bar Association Chapter.
