The friends I have met in law school are...
My friends that I met in law school are from my study group. One of the most unexpected things about law school was the use of study groups. I found that you really get to know people when you spend weeks preparing for a final. We even have traditions like going to eat before a final, or making a bad song about certain rules to help us memorize them. My study group is composed of some of my best friends at Moritz and I encourage everyone to at least consider a study group!
Most amazing law school class...
My most amazing law school class so far is Criminal Law (or "Crim-Law"). Our professor is one of the best Criminal Law experts in the country; one bit of proof is that my friends in law schools across Florida use our case book, the one our professor published. Because we had a professor that was, essentially, a demi-god of Crim-Law, class was fun and engaging. The cases were beyond interesting and I think of all of our classes, my fellow 1L's and I were the most anxious about being "on-call" for our Criminal Law class. Our professor had high expectations for us and he treated us like professionals. At the end of Crim-Law, watching Law and Order will never be the same.
What I love about Columbus, Ohio...
The legal community is by far one of my favorite things about Columbus. I have been offered opportunities that I know would not have been possible outside of Columbus. Additionally, Columbus attorneys and practitioners are accessible and are willing to sit down and talk to you. The conversations have ranged from succeeding in a Summer Associate position to what their favorite class was. I have not been turned down by anyone that I've ever emailed to meet up for coffee or for a meal.
