About Moritz and OSU
See More Videos at Moritz's YouTube Channel
Nestled within one of the country's most comprehensive research universities, Moritz has one of the smallest enrollments of comparable law schools and therefore boasts small class sizes.
You'll receive the one-on-one attention you deserve in law school while relishing in the resources available at one of the world's premier universities.
You'll learn from diverse, internationally recognized faculty who are experts on countless legal issues; these scholars are continually cited in court briefs and the national media, and they wrote some of the textbooks you'll study. Our faculty also serve on legal reform commissions, regularly help draft model statutes, and often provide testimony before Congress.
You won't be buried up to your eyebrows in debt upon graduation. In addition, most of our students are able to qualify for in-state tuition rates by their second year.
We're proud of Moritz, what it has become, and the direction it is headed. We think you will be, too.

Academics
We refer to Moritz as the best of both worlds.
The College's size means classes are small. As part of the Moritz community, you will get the individualized attention that you deserve. Our faculty are passionate and eager to help students find a passion of their own. No matter what area of law you pursue, we have ample courses, programs, organizations, and journals to satisfy your every interest.
However, Moritz is nestled within one of the most comprehensive research universities in the world. You can broaden your legal education by taking a few courses or even simultaneously earning a second degree in one of Ohio State's graduate programs. You also have the opportunity to explore all that the University offers. For instance, Moritz students intern in the Ohio State Athletics Compliance Office, which is one of the largest in the country; partner with graduate schools like the Fisher College of Business and John Glenn School of Public Affairs to host innovative conferences; and listen to speakers, watch concerts, and enjoy art exhibits at venues across the University.
Joint Degree Programs
Students can choose from a variety of joint-degree programs, including the JD and Master’s of Public Policy from Ohio State’s Glenn School of Public Affairs. The JD/MA degrees can be finished in three years and with no additional tuition over a law degree. Others combine a law degree with an MBA, MD, or MPH, and students are also able to join a JD with any of Ohio State’s 100-plus master’s programs and 90 Ph.D. programs. [More on Joint Degree Programs]
