Applications for admission may be submitted anytime between October 15 and March 1 of the academic calendar year prior to the planned date of enrollment. Admissions are done on a rolling basis beginning in mid-December.

Early Decision Agreement Deadline
Students seeking admission for the 2008-09 academic year through Early Decision must submit a signed Early Decision Agreement and an application for admission no later than November 16, 2007.

Early Decision Agreement Application Deadline
The Early Decision application must be completed no later than December 7, 2007. The application is considered complete when all required application materials, including an LSDAS report, have been received by the Office of Admissions.

Begin the application process for specialty scholarships and grants from the Moritz College of Law and/or the University.

Complete J.D. FAFSA/FAFSA Renewal Form Beginning in Mid January
Complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or FAFSA Renewal form beginning in mid January or as early as possible after this date. The FAFSA is required for the Perkins Loan, the Stafford Loans, and need-based grant aid from the College of Law. Be sure to list Ohio State (code 003090) as a receiving institution on the FAFSA. NO PARENTAL INFORMATION IS NEEDED ON THE FAFSA.

Moritz J.D. Scholarship Application Deadline
Moritz Merit Scholarships are awarded to 10 students each year. These awards recognize exceptional students who possess excellent academic credentials and leadership abilities.

J.D. FAFSA/FAFSA Renewal Form Deadline
In order to qualify for need-based grants from the Moritz College of Law, the Perkins Loan, federal work-study funds, and Stafford Loans, students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Financial Aid (FAFSA) form or a FAFSA Renewal form at the earliest possible date, but no later than March 1.
J.D. Specialty Scholarships/Grants Deadline
A variety of specialty awards and grants are available to students who meet the specific criteria related to each award. Specialty awards vary in amounts from $500 to $3000.

Deadline to Confirm Enrollment for those offered Admission through March 1
Deadline for submitting the nonrefundable $225 acceptance fee for applicants who were admitted by March 21 and who plan to enroll in the fall entering class. Applicants admitted after March 21 have approximately three weeks from the date of admissions to submit this acceptance fee.

Deadline to Establish Ohio Residency
Students who relocate to Ohio and who wish to establish residency are reminded that the residency application must be completed and submitted by the July 1 deadline. Students seeking Ohio residency should carefully read all rules relating to residency and be sure to comply with these in order to be successfully re-classified.

Deadline to Accept Financial Aid Offer
Deadline for accepting, accepting less than amount offered, or declining the financial aid package from OSU online. Detailed information with instructions will be sent along with the final award package.
