International and Graduate Affairs Fellow
Jera Oliver joined Moritz in April 2014 as the International and Graduate Affairs Fellow. Jera attended Kent State University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude in 2008 with jointly earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Economics, Political Science and Public Administration. She went on to receive her JD from Washington University in St. Louis in 2011 where she focused her studies on child and family policy, nonprofit law, and trusts and estates. While at Wash U, Jera co-founded the Education Law and Policy Society and was a very active member of the student body.
She came to Moritz from the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio where she was the Director of Annual Giving and Proposals. With over three years of progressively responsible work experience in fundraising and institutional advancement, Jera possesses strong strategic planning, project leadership and relationship management capabilities.
Jera has extensive international travel experience and a keen interest in global social issues. She studied abroad in several European countries as well as Brazil and had an internship at UNESCO’s International Bureau of Education in Geneva, Switzerland. She has extensive public service and community affiliations in her hometown of Columbus, Ohio.
