Jennifer Magro Algarotti
International and Graduate Affairs Fellow
Jennifer Magro Algarotti joined Moritz in July 2016 as the International and Graduate Affairs Fellow. Jennifer attended Ohio Wesleyan University, graduating cum laude in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in German Studies and European History. She spent the following year as an Americorp member coordinating volunteers for Habitat for Humanity in Philadelphia. She went on to study and work in Germany as a Fulbright recipient, and returned to the US to earn a PhD from The Ohio State University in Germanic Languages and Literatures with a concentration in Environmental Humanities. While a graduate student at Ohio State, she worked as the Coordinator of the Language Program at the Individualized Language Learning Center and as the Student Campaign Coordinator focusing on alumni, development, and marketing.
She came to Moritz from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, were she served as the INTO Mason International Pathway Program Liaison for the School of Business. In this role, Jennifer worked in International student recruitment, student services, advising and counseling. She also taught Business Communications and Professional Skills, and Graduate Research Methods, where she guided international students in professional development, career search strategies, CV/resume building, cover letter writing, and networking.
Jennifer also has extensive teaching experience in both Global and International studies, at George Mason University, Denison University, and Capital University. She has wide international travel experience, and a passion for improving International students’ experiences while studying in the US and the Internationalization of the University. She is happy to be back at Ohio State and her home state of Ohio.
