Since graduating from the Moritz College of Law in 2006, Tracy Simmons has been practicing law at the Legal Aid Society of Columbus. During her first two years at Legal Aid, she was awarded an Equal Justice Works Fellowship, allowing her to focus her advocacy efforts on children’s civil rights. After her fellowship ended, Tracy remained at Legal Aid and continued to advocate for the rights of children in Ohio. In that position, she represented individual clients while also working on systemic advocacy efforts, including an amicus curiae brief for the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Tracy enjoys writing, and most recently published an article in the Journal of Law and Family Studies.  She was also involved with numerous student groups when she attended Moritz, including the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution, Public Interest Law Foundation, Dispute Resolution and Youth, and Advocates for Children.
